Pamela Sexton Wins $1,000 In Waccamaw Bank Campaign

Waccamaw Bank’s new campaign to enroll customers in their Estatement and debit card program has paid off big time for one of their customers in Southport, North Carolina and one of their employees.

According to Jim Graham, President and CEO of Waccamaw Bank, Pamela Sexton’s name was randomly picked from over 500 customers who were enrolled in the bank’s program during the third quarter of 2009. Sexton is the owner of Cattail Cottage a business in downtown Southport. Customers who were contacted by bank employees and agreed to sign up for the bank’s Internet banking service to include receiving their monthly account information through the Estatement program were eligible for the $1,000 drawing. Additionally, customers signing up for the bank’s debit card were also enrolled in the drawing.

Tiffany Johnson, the teller supervisor and head teller in the bank’s Holden Beach Office was the winner of the employee drawing. She was presented with a $500 check from Graham. All employees who were successful in contacting and enrolling a client in the Estatement and debit card program had their name entered in the contest. Johnson’s name was drawn during the bank’s quarterly employee rally held on October 27 in Whiteville.

When Russ Thompson, Northern Brunswick County Area Executive, met with Sexton recently to award her the prize, she exclaimed that her coworkers and friends wanted to know how they could be included. “Easy. Just sign up for internet banking and get your bank statements through your email! It’s that easy,” Sexton said. Sexton has been a customer of the bank since 2007 and visits Waccamaw’s Southport office where she registered for the campaign.

“The Estatement campaign is having phenomenal success and our employees enjoy talking with our clients about our internet banking program. Of course, it certainly helps when we mentioned the $1,000 drawing,” Graham noted of the campaign.

Graham added that the campaign is designed to run during all of 2009 with one lucky customer’s name being drawn from the pool of contestants every quarter. “It’s not too late for any of our clients to enter the campaign. All they have to do is sign up for internet banking with our Estatement and debit card program. It’s that easy; it does not cost them anything.”
