Credit Card Account Detail

Q. How can I make a payment online?
A. To make a payment online, you may transfer funds from your checking, savings or money market account. Simply click the Funds Transfer tab above, or click "Make a payment" in the Quick Links section below or next to the Payment Due Date and follow the directions for a single transfer.

Q. What is the outstanding balance?
A. The outstanding balance is the total of all the transactions that have posted to your credit card account. It is not your minimum payment due.

Q. What is the available credit?
A. Available credit is your total credit limit less your outstanding balance and any temporary authorizations.

Q. What are Pending Transactions?
A. Pending transactions are merchant authorizations on your credit card. When you use your card and a merchant makes an inquiry, the purchase is shown as a pending authorization. Pending transactions remain on file for up to ten days.

Q. How do I search for a specific transaction?
A. The Filter Transactions section, located beneath the list of your transactions, allows you to search for specific transactions by date range. Simply enter the dates for which you wish to search, and click View to display the results.

Q. How do I view older transactions?
A. Using the drop-down menu labeled "Show," you may choose to view any of your prior six statements. You may also use the Filter Transactions section to search for transactions by date range.

Q. How do I view statements?
A. You may view your prior six credit card statements online. Using the drop-down box labeled "Show," select the statement you wish to display, and click View. If you need to see a statement older than six months, you may request a paper copy. To do so, click the Customer Services tab above, then choose Statement Copy.

Q. How do I inquire about a transaction?
A. To inquire about a transaction, click the Messages button at the top of the screen. This will allow you to send a secure, encrypted message directly to online banking Customer Service. Remember, ordinary internet e-mail is not secure, so if you choose to send us a message through your e-mail program rather than through online banking, please do not include any sensitive information such as your account number or social security number.

Q. What is Download Transaction Data and why should I do it?
A. The Download Transaction Data feature allows you to bring transaction information into your Quicken or Microsoft Money software. Selecting a download option, then clicking Download will save all the transactions displayed on the screen. If you wish to expand or narrow the list of transactions displayed, use the Filter Transactions feature before downloading.
